STRONGBOW STUDENT TAKEOVER TERMS - 2023

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.  Please retain a copy for your information.

The personal data provided by entrants will only be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the promotion and at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at https://www.heineken.co.uk/legal-hub/heineken-brands-privacy-policy).  From time to time, the Promoter may share entrants’ personal data with their agents/representatives to assist with administering the promotion and contacting entrants (as necessary) and/or fulfilling the prize(s).

 

  1. Only open to residents in the UK aged 18 or over, excluding employees of any company in the Heineken group and any person whom, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, should be excluded due to their involvement or connection with this promotion.
  2. No purchase necessary. To enter the promotion entrants must attend either Strongbow Student Takeover event at Leicester - Counting House, 40 Almond Rd, Leicester LE2 7LH on 08/11/23 or Newcastle - The Junction, Haymarket, Percy St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 7PF on 15/11/23 between 19:00 to 23:59
  3. Entries must be made personally.  Entries made through agents/third parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid. Amended, defaced or photocopied entries are invalid.  Promoter cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen entries.
  4. No Purchase Necessary to enter. Participants need to be present at the event for a chance to be chosen by the event Judge (DJ Kemi) to win the £500 prize.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw a prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.  The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. The Judges decision is final, 

    £500 Prize Win Mechanic – £500 prize to be awarded to the “best dressed” at the each event (this could be fancy dress, smart dress etc). 5 people will be chosen by Kemi (DJ) and the crowd will cheer, one by one, for one winner and the loudest cheer will win. [Everyone has the same chance to win.]. The £500 prize to be sent after the event via bank transfer from Mesh Marketing. Bank details will be collected on the night by the Mesh Marketing representatives from the winner. Winner must have a valid UK bank account.

     

  7. Winner notification: The winner will be notified each event (08/11/23 and 15/11/23) before 23:59. If the winner does not provide their bank details before 23.59 or leaving the venue, the prize will be forfeited.
  8. Strongbow Student Takeover £500 Prize winners will be determined by the Judge (DJ Kemi) at each event. This will be completely subjective Winner contact details (name and email) will be collected at each event by Mesh Marketing to bank transfer the cash prize across to the winner.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to reclaim the prize if it is transferred.
  10. he decision of the promoter in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The promoter is not responsible for any third party acts or omissions.
  12. We cannot guarantee that the event will be free from disruptions, failings or cancellations.We are not liable for such disruptions, failings or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence. Any requests for refunds or compensation arising from them should be sent to the operator of the event.We can provide you with their details on request.
  13. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond its control.
  14. All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the cash prize are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or however in connection with any loss, damage or injury suffered as a direct result of the provision of the prize.  Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of its negligence.
  15. The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.  Facebook is not responsible to entrants in respect of any aspect of this promotion.
  16. All taxes (including without limitation national & local taxes) in connection with any prize & the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
  17. These rules and any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.  The Promoter and each entrant irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with these rules or the legal relationships established by this agreement.
