2017 STRONGBOW HALLOWEEN CONSUMER PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions and to their details being communicated to the Promoter’s agency in relation to this promotion. Please retain a copy for your information.
1. Only open to residents in the UK, aged 18 or over, excluding employees of any company in the Heineken group, their immediate families and any person whom, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, should be excluded due to their involvement or connection with this promotion.
2. Eligible participants purchase a pint of STRONGBOW Original or STRONGBOW Dark Fruit in participating outlets and receive a STRONGBOW Carnevil scratch and reveal gamecard. Subject to availability. One gamecard per pint purchased. Maximum 2 gamecards per person, per day. There are 1,992,000 gamecards being distributed throughout the promotion with 200 per participating outlet. Service is at the discretion of the bar staff. Half pints are not qualifying purchases.
3. No purchase necessary in Scotland and Northern Ireland, please ask bar staff for your gamecard while stocks last. One ‘No Purchase Necessary’ entry per person, per day.
4. Promotion starts at 9:00 on 23.10.17 and ends 23:59 on 06.11.17. Please check with the outlet for availability of prizes before purchase.
5. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid. Amended, defaced or photocopied gamecards are invalid. Promoter cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen gamecards. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, incomplete, illegible or delayed online claims, such entries will be void. Proof of sending online claim is not proof of receipt and Promoter does not accept any responsibility for the non-receipt or the late receipt of online claim due to network failure or for any associated costs to entrants. The Promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the website entry route. Winners of top hats must show their winning gamecard to bar staff in the outlet of issue prior to 23:59 on 06.11.17 to claim their prize instantly. Prizes are available while stocks last.
7. Online entry for main prize draw: All participants have the chance to enter and win the main prize draw. Entrants should visit Strongbow.com/Halloween, enter their contact details together with their unique code (found under the reveal panel of the STRONGBOW Carnevil gamecard) before 23:59 on 06.11.17. All online entrants will be placed into the main prize draw. Retain gamecard for verification of win.
8. Main prize draw prize: One (1) international travel package to New Orleans for 4 people (including winner) over 18s only to attend the Mardi Gras in February 2018. Prize package includes:
• £75 per person travel allowance for transportation from winner’s home to airport;
• Return flights from London to New Orleans, including taxes, fees and one item of checked luggage per person;
• Return private airport transfers in New Orleans;
• 5 nights’ hotel accommodation in New Orleans, with a three-star rating, based on sharing two double or twin rooms;
• Daily breakfast;
• One-day premium viewing tickets (for 4 people) for Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans, including access to raised grandstand;

Economy flights available from major international airports in London only; Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available. Winner and guests must have full passport valid for at least 6 months at time of travel. Any necessary visas are responsibility of winner and guests. A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into hotel accommodation. Hotel accommodation is based on four adults sharing two double or twin rooms. Hotel will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion. Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. It is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companions to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical condition and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companions are aged 70 or over. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. All prize elements are subject to availability. Prize must be taken between 10 and 15 February 2018, and winners must be available to travel over these dates. All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time. 10. Main Prize Draw Winner Notification and Prize Claim: The winner will receive a notification email from the Promoter to the email address used to enter the promotion by 14.11.17. Main prize winner has until 21.11.17 to claim their prize and to submit the physical qualifying STRONGBOW Carnevil gamecard. If the prize is not claimed by this date, the original gamecard not provided or the winner is not able to take up the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to draw another winner. 11. The winner’s name and country will be available from 15.01.18 from customerservices@strongbow.com. By entering the promotion the winner consents to such information being disclosed.
12. There is no cash or other alternative to these prizes in whole or in part. Prizes are not transferable. The Promoter reserves the right to reclaim the prize if it is transferred.
13. A winner who is over 25 years of age and looks over 25 years of age may be required to participate in all required publicity, including any presentation ceremony.
14. The decision of the Promoter in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter is not responsible for any third party acts or omissions.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winner and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prizes are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or however in connection with any loss, damage or injury suffered as a direct result of the provision of the Promotion. 4. In venue Entry Route – Visit one of the 500 participating UK outlets and buy a pint of Strongbow Original or Strongbow Dark Fruit and claim your scratch-card between 23.04.18 – 01.07.18. Scratch off the entire game panel to reveal 6-digit code with letter prefix. Visit www.uk.strongbow.com/festivals enter your 6-digit code with the letter prefix, personal details: email, name, address, mobile phone number and follow the entry instructions to ‘Win an Epic Festival Entrance’. Additionally, if the scratch card reveals three of the same icons in a horizontal or vertical row you have won the pictured prize. Festival ticket wins can be claimed by phoning the number provided on the winning scratch card, quoting the winning code and ‘Strongbow Festivals’ or emailing the winning code and your name, phone number and postal address to the email address provided on the winning scratch card. A random selection of 200 entries selected from all qualifying entries received between midnight on 02/04/18 and midnight on 01/07/18 who chose Victorious at the point of entry will be made by 02/07/18 by an independent verified algorithm programme and the entrant’s idea for an Epic Entrance will then be judged as per the criteria below.

The independent judging panel will give each of the 200 randomly selected entries entry marks out of 10 for each of the following criteria:

  • Does this entry have what it takes to create the impact to ‘Make an Epic Festival Entrance’?
  • Does this entry show the personality of the winner and their mates?
  • Does this entry stand out from the crowd?

This will then determine the 50 finalists for each festival who will be judged by a panel including Heineken UK, festival owners, and Initials Marketing who will give each finalist entry marks out of 10 for the same criteria.

In the event of a tie-breaker the score for ‘Does this entry have what it takes to create the impact to Make an Epic Festival Entrance’?’ will carry the most weight.

9. The winner of each Epic Festival Entrance will be contacted using the contact details provided.

  • In the case of the Isle of Wight festival, this will be by 10/05/18
  • In the case of Kendal Calling, this will be by 14/06/18
  • In the case of Victorious; this will be by 13/07/18

10. If the winners of Epic Festival Entrances cannot be contacted within five working days, they will forfeit their right to the prize and the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw and select a new winner (and so on until a winner can be contacted who will take up the prize).

11. An Epic Festival Entrance entry will be disqualified if it is not feasible, includes use of livestock, defamatory, private, confidential, embarrassing, offensive, an infringement of any third-party rights (e.g. someone else’s copyright or trademark), obscene, violent, racist, pornographic, indecent, vulgar, hateful, threatening, harassing, false, unfair, illegal or misleading, may cause alarm, upset or distress, or is not compliant with these terms and conditions or the Terms of Use of the website and relevant festival. 12. Each Epic Festival Entrance prize is up to a value of £15,000 and will include:

  • Return transportation for the winner and five of their nominated friends (all of whom need to be aged 18 or over). This will be from a central transport hub near the winner’s home, to the festival via a suitable mode of transport chosen by The Promoter and/or its agents. This mode of transport will be dependent on the winner’s location from the festival and is in addition to the mode of transport chosen by the winner, by which they will make their Epic Entrance to the festival.
  • Weekend camping tickets including accommodation:
  1. Isle of Wight winners will receive a weekend Tipi and 6 Strongbow branded sleeping bags to accommodate them in the guest camping area
  2. Kendal Calling winners will receive a weekend Tipi and 6 Strongbow branded sleeping bags to accommodate them in the boutique camping area of the festival
  3. Victorious winners will receive a weekend Tipi and 6 Strongbow branded sleeping bags to accommodate theme in the general festival camping area
  • The prize also includes the ‘Epic Entrance’ as chosen by the prize winner at the point of entry. for the winner and five nominated friends all aged 18 years or over.

13. It will not be possible to deliver all winners to the exact festival location in some modes of transport that were available to choose as an Epic Entrance due to health and safety and logistical reasons. In these circumstances, winners, will make their entrance as near as practically possible to the location and continue their entrance on a feasible mode of transport to their destination inside the festival grounds.

14. All chosen Epic Entrance selections are subject to availability at the time of winner contact and confirmation. If a selection made by the winner at the point of entry is not available, the promoter and the EFE team will find a suitable solution within the prize budget, to ensure there is minimal loss of impact at the point of entry to the festival.

15. All modes of transport are subject to feasibility and weather conditions. If a selection made by the winner at the point of entry is not feasible due to adverse weather conditions, festival restrictions or any other factor outside of the Promoter’s control, the Promoter and the EFE team will find a suitable solution within the prize and time allowance to ensure there is minimal loss of impact at the point of entry to the festival.

16. All entrants will be required to enter the festival grounds and undergo the relevant security checks ahead of making their Epic Entrance. If the winners are refused entrance to the festival, which is at the discretion of the festival security, they forfeit their right to the prize.

17. All entrance details, dates and time are subject to the Epic Entrance permutation selected at the point of entry and as agreed with the promoter and the EFE team once winners have been selected.

  • Isle of Wight – The Epic Entrance will take place on Friday 22nd June
  • Kendal Calling – The Epic Entrance will take place on Friday 27th July
  • Victorious – The Epic Entrance will take place on Saturday 25th August

18. The Promoter and/or its agents accept no liability for any loss or damage to personal belonging of the winners or their five friends pre, during or post the Epic Entrance and for the duration of the festival. All personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the owner.

19. Winners and their nominated five friends must not be intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances at the time of their Epic Entrance. The Promoter and its agents reserve the right to cancel the Epic Entrance if there is a risk of danger to the winners or the public.

31. Tickets will be presented to the winner and their five friends on the day that they will be making their Epic Entrances to the relevant festivals. Instant win festival tickets will be posted by Royal Mail Second Class Signed For Delivery Service. Winners and their friends must show valid ID otherwise, they may be rejected from the festival. Tickets are not for resale and each festival organiser reserves the right to invalidate any tickets sold contrary to the ticket terms.

32. All entrants will be required to enter the festival grounds and undergo the relevant security checks ahead of making their Epic Entrance. If the winners are refused entrance to the festival, which is at the discretion of the festival security, they forfeit their right to the prize.

33. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw a prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. 34. There is no cash or other alternative to any prizes as part of the Make an Epic Entrance promotion in whole or in part. Prizes are not transferable. Outlet Kit Incentive (STRONGBOW CARNEVIL Halloween kit):
1. Only open to residents in the UK, aged 18 or over who are on trade retailers and also customers of Heineken UK Limited.
2. Purchase 4 x 11g kegs of STRONGBOW ORIGINAL or STRONGBOW DARK FRUIT (in any combination) in one transaction through your normal order route to receive one free STRONGBOW Halloween kit. Subject to availability.
3. Orders must be made between the times and dates as advertised in your wholesale outlet. Kits available on a first come first served basis and the number available will be as advertised in your wholesale outlet. Ask for availability before purchase.
